Garden of Hesperides & Golden Apples Tangerine Near Loukkos River Home of Leucippe of Plato’s Primordial Mound

Two ancient greek mythologies were apparently inspired by the biblical story about the Garden of Eden, one by Plato that the original pair, Evenor and Leucippe, were born from the earth (autochthons) on the primordial mound where eventually would be built the city of Atlantis, and the second by Strabo that Hercules of Argonaut fame eventually sailed to the Hesperides to seize the Golden Apples, where today are the ruins of Lixus, named for Leucippe, on a bluff overlooking the Loukkos river in Morocco in the shadow of the Atlas mountains.
