Invoking “unity and justice” against Trump by kneeling and praying before the national anthem, NFL players on Sunday were clearly wanting people to think that Jesus opposes president Trump, a notion which tens of millions of evangelicals in the U. S. would vigorously contest. Jesus Christ never spoke about “social justice,” only justice waived by the Messiah for all those who accept Him thus obtaining His righteousness, having nothing to do with “black liberation theology.”
