Everybody knows that the NFL team owners are now forcing the players to stand for the national anthem because revenues have been slipping away, nothing to do with sincere patriotism suddenly rediscovered, so the revenue decline will probably continue, many if not most fans unimpressed with the forced mea culpa. What makes it even worse is that a rule has been on the books for the players to stand at attention for the national anthem, facing the flag, helmet in left hand at side, no excuse.
