Yahoo Finance conducted a poll of NFL fans, 62% of whom saying that they won’t be watching as much pro football (certainly a boon to college ball), and 77% who view the kneeling unfavorably, but the most disturbing number for the NFL is that 74% of those saying they’ll be watching less pro football indicate that it will be permanent, so the NFL certainly has much ground to make up, perhaps by public service announcements for the military and by the depoliticization of sports commentary, at ESPN for instance.
