Portending well for what’s happening in Alabama for Roy Moore’s senatorial hopes in the election today, Tennessee purple-tie Republican Bob Corker has announced that he won’t be up for reelection in 2018, leaving the door wide-open for some Tea Party type, to face perhaps Democrat ex congressman Harold Ford Jr., who reeks establishment. Corker’s political action committee backed Moore’s opponent Luther Strange in a big way, so Corker is probably aware of what’s happening on the ground in Alabama today.
