Ham’s son Canaan certainly was lighter complected, while another son Kush darker (Hindu Kush and Africa’s Kush), the Misraim mostly somewhere in between (Egyptians), so Ham may not have been black as many opine, perhaps the genes for darker complexion of his wife or wives rather than him. Noah may have been darker complected for all we know, or perhaps, homogeneity in the human race in the idyllic climate before Noah’s Flood caused no need for extremes of melanin, become necessary to manifest in the more extreme climates after the Flood.
