Paul Manafort, apparently because of his dealings in Ukraine, was under scrutiny by the intelligence community back in 2014, that scrutiny in the form of wiretapping which was discontinued for lack of evidence, but the wiretapping of Manafort was resumed when he became Trump’s campaign manager in 2016, and continued after he quit the campaign, so Trump stands vindicated that the wiretapping happened, roundly mocked when he first tweeted about it on March 4th. All this brings the “golden shower dossier” into relevance, did that fake dossier pushed by John McCain cause the FBI and DOJ (under Comey and Lynch) to reopen the surveillance of Manafort (and Trump)?
