Think of the locals of northern India gazing up at the Himalayas then contemplating their legend of the flood of Manu and the seven rishis which covered the earth, don’t you suppose they may have deduced that the mountains had risen at its close rather than having covered those very high peaks? Of the over six hundred agent tribal legends of the global flood, many speak of earthquakes and vulcanism with it, certainly an indication that they suspected that mountain range orogenies at the close of the Flood.
