Roy Moore is leading Luther Strange 50% to 32% in polling leading up to the Republican senate primary runoff in Alabama on Sept. 26th, judge Moore and Trump seemingly philosophical allies, Tea Party types, yet president Trump has continued his support for Strange, last month his endorsement in the initial primary election to no benefit. The endorsement is hard to understand, seemingly irrational, so Trump perhaps is feeling pressure from the purple-tie crowd against the strongly christian Roy Moore.
