Pastors almost never talk about Noah’s Flood with any specific scientific reasoning nor in its timeframe (circa 2350 b. c.) because they don’t want to have to talk about the dynamics of the flood, the fountains of the deep for the water and later the mountaintops having emerged through the receding floodwaters (see Page here Natural Selection by Noah’s Flood), nor the Table of Nations (Genesis 10) which followed, so facing their own self inflicted ignorance, you just know they’re tempted to pray that people won’t ask them about Genesis in casual conversation, awkward!
