If the news outlet Sputnik, accused of producing fake news, is in fact backed by Putin’s Russia, seeking legitimacy in the West, then what were they thinking to name it Sputnik after a space rocket from the Soviet era? Why didn’t they just name it Lenin’s Den, or Chaos like in Get Smart?
