Christianity is not Catholicism says the Chinese government, having listed the two separately in their roster of the religions to persecute, so it would be interesting to know why the Chinese government officials consider the teachings of Christianity different than of Catholicism, perhaps that Christianity says you must be born again while Catholicism doesn’t.
