Heber maintained the language spoken by everyone before the confusion of language at the Tower of Babel, what then became known as the Hebrew language, while his son Peleg was given what became known as the Pelasgian language of the Aegean and Adriatic (and later by the Etruscans), proving that the confusion occurred in that generation because apparently Reu, a son of Peleg by whom descended Abraham three generation later, learned the Hebrew language from grandpa Heber, otherwise the language spoken by the Pelasgians wouldn’t have been named for Peleg.
