It’s interesting that Baalbek (in Lebanon) was not named that until almost a thousand years after Joshua called it Baalgad, so considering the military leaders of the Khazars (progeny of Togarmah) were known as Khagan Bek (king who beckons), plausible is that Turkic speakers rendered the name Baalbek.
