Not only does the Word indicate by the number of generations since Adam and Eve that the matter of creation is about six thousand years old, the Word also states that a day to Elohim is as a thousand years, so considering there were six days of creation (the seventh for rest), that we are approaching the end of the six thousand years since the fall of Adam and Eve is quite evident by the Word.
