Athena or Neith in north african legend was said to have been of the progeny of Posidon (Sidon, a grandson of Ham), while the berber goddess Tanit (Neith by another name) was a consort of the god Baal Hammon (Ham), either way (or she was both) associated with the sky and fertility, like the moon goddess of the Berbers named Maza, from which came the name Amazons, probably of the same etymology as Mazzaroth, dealing with the cycles of time measured by the change of positions of the heavenly bodies, from it the hebrew phrase mazel tov meaning good luck.
