Some consider it ridiculous that the Amazons migrated from North Africa up through the Levant and on into Anatolia, but that was during the “bronze age collapse” (end of the Ice Age) when climate change (and sea level rise) caused extreme distress, when kingdoms dissolved (for instance described in the egyptian Ipuwer Papyrus), the “Sea Peoples” invaded, and bands of tribes became the power bases rather than city-state armies, for then the Amazons en-masse able to negotiate cross-country.
