Slavery has always been practiced for economic gain, in the old days the worth of the slave according to the value of the work he or she could produce, but these days the temptation is even greater for evil people to engage in slavery, because of the big money involved, considering that one healthy young person is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to the human traffickers, for sex and/or for the organs harvested to provide transplants for the rich willing to engage.
