If president Trump had advocated diligently for the healthcare bill recently rejected in the Senate, he would have lost much political capital, but having let the Senators try to work it by themselves, failed to this point, Trump is free to criticize them as promise breakers who therefore may lose their reelection bids, it’s the art of the deal a la Trump once again.
