Legendary Ilion/Troy of Homer Confirmed in History by Hittites of Anatolia Who Called the City-State Wilusa or Taruisa

Translate:

Ilus was a grandson of Dardanus (namesake of the Dardanelles strait), for whom was named Ilion (latin Ilium), the ancient pronunciation spelled Wilion which appears in Hittite hieroglyphs as the kingdom of Wilusa. The other name of that city-state, Troy, was for Troas (the father of Ilus), born out by its Hittite name Taruisa, and confirmed in the archaeology at Hisarlik, where the Dardanelles meets the Aegean.
