ERCOT’s Dan Woodfin Says 60% of Texas Electricity by Wind Generation When Windy a Huge Loser in Winter


Sometimes in the spring, summer, and fall, as much as 60% of the electricity provided in Texas is by wind power, in the winter as low as 20%, and now that half of the wind turbines have been frozen, it’s about 10%, that’s a 6x variance in wind power reliability.
