If your great grandfather were outliving his grandkids, you might be tempted to call him a god, and so it was for the early generations following Noah’s Flood when humans were still living many hundreds of years but in decreasing longevity, when today’s deserts were green, alive with towns, pastures, forests, and streams, until the days of the Exodus when the Ice Age ended.
