Of all the Republicans thinking about running for the presidency in 2024 to succeed president Trump (the campaign will begin in two years), Tom Cotton seems most prepared and able to continue the constitutional nationalist renaissance which Trump is now leading. Cotton was on Fox News Sunday and sagely noted that the purpose of the Supreme Court is to apply the law not to make the law (of course that Congress’s responsibility), and that Roe v. Wade took away the right of each state’s legislature to decide the abortion issue (the states’ role on this issue according to the 10th Amendment).
