Plato wrote that Atlantis extended inside Gibraltar to Italy and Egypt, outside Gibraltar as well, clearly a coastal empire lost when the sea level rose by the Ice Age ending; and he wrote that Atlantis was more extensive than Libya and Asia combined, speaking of their Mediterranean coastlines.
