Perplexing to the biblephobes is that the Basque people of northwestern Spain have similar genetics to the Sami people of Scandinavia whom the Roman historian Cornelius Tacitus said were the Fenni, and the Greek/Egyptian historian Ptolemy said were the Phinnoi, the Phoenicians, named for Phoenix who lived when the Ice Age had very recently ended, whose progeny upon sailing to Scandinavia (when the extensive Ice Age snowpack had melted into the sea) may have brought phonics (consonantal alphabet) with them, but if so, quickly lost, nevertheless, Finland named for them too.
