Go see Wikipedia’s entry for Doggerland, view the map of it there, as it looked during the Ice Age which ended actually circa 1500 b. c., that land known to the Frisians as Aldland, the old land, where during the Ice Age lions and mammoths roamed in pastures and forests near meandering streams and rivers. Wiki generally says that the Ice Age ended circa 9000 b. c., yet says the last of Doggerland to submerge, now called the Dogger Bank, went under circa 1500 b. c., indirect admission by Wiki that Frisians knew of that land lost to the sea, this known from the book Oera Linda. The sea god of the region was Fosite, otherwise know as Posidon, of Heligoland (ruins submerged off the island of that name near the mouth of the Elbe river in the North Sea), Posidon whose realm the empire of Atlantis extended both inside and outside the Pillars of Hercules (Strait of Gibraltar) according to Plato, outside clearly west and north to “Doggerland,” also known as Aldland, the old land.
