Multiple Ancient Writers in Addition to Plato Reported Big Continent Across the Atlantic & Not Part of Eastern Asia

Translate:

Plato wrote in his story about Atlantis that on the other side of “the great western ocean” was an extensive (north to south) continent which Strabo wrote was named Meropes, for a daughter of Atlas (who was a grandson of Canaan), and Maya was her sister, plus the Roman geographer Statius Sebosus wrote that the “ladies of the west” (the islands of the Caribbean) were forty days’ sailing distance from the Gorgades (the Cape Verde islands off Africa’s northwest coast), and Plutarch wrote that the Greeks and Phoenicians had sailed to the western end of the Atlantic, so to say that the ancients didn’t navigate the Atlantic in the days of Atlantis and afterward is clearly absurd.
