Brutus was a Trojan survivor who after their defeat at Troy sailed to what would become known as the British (Brytys) isles, where his probably Luwian language (Japthetic) perhaps blended quite nicely with the also Japhetic Frisian like languages (such as English) of those who had moved inland when Atland (now the Dogger Bank) was consumed by the sea.
