Peleg (see Genesis 10) lived in the days that the earth was divided, by language and therewith territory because of the coming of many languages at the Tower of Babel, and some of his progeny migrated far to the west where they were known as the Pelasgians of the Aegean, the Pelag-skoi, progeny of Peleg, the skoi like ski, Indo European (Japhetic) labeling for a Semitic tribe.
