Noah’s Grandson Gomer Progenitor of Cimmerians Became Known as Scythians or Ashkuza for Son Ashkenaz


After the Tower of Babel, Japheth’s son Gomer ventured northward into the Black Sea region (it was a big lake then, during the Ice Age) where his people became known as the Cimmerians (Crimea), and his son Askhenaz a namesake of much the same people known as the Ashkuza by the Akkadians (Assyrians of Shem’s son Asshur), and later known by the Greeks as the Scythians.
