Ogyges who circa 1500 b.c. began the Ogygian dynasty of Greece and founded Thebes, named for his wife (an Egyptian?), lived in the timeframe that the ocean rose to make Samothrace an island where it had been a coastal mountain, the Flood of Ogyges, and soon thereafter lived the kings Erichthonios, Cecrops, Erechtheus, Erysichton, and Theseus whom according to Plato were alive in the days of the flooding of Atlantis and much of Greece, the end of the Ice Age.
