It’s no coincidence that the Saxons’ goddess of spring and fertility, Eastra, is the same as Ishtar of Babylon because Assyrians traveled west from Mesopotamia when the Ice Age had ended to settle where today is Germany, hence the Assyrians’ moon goddess Ishtar having purportedly come down from heaven in an egg, symbolized these days as Easter eggs, from rabbits, symbols of fertility.
