In his Atlantis story, Plato wrote that the Mediterranean is just a harbor compared to the great western ocean (the Atlantic) across which he wrote was a continent (the western hemisphere), where certainly the Atlanteans did settle, proven by the ice age ruins (submerged since circa 1500 b. c.) of the intrepid Atlanteans discovered off islands of the Bahama Bank such as Bimini and Andros.
