If Hawaii Had Been Hit by Catastrophe as Did Puerto Rico the U. S. Government Would Be More Helpful to Rebuild

Everybody knows that if the island state of Hawaii had been devastated by a storm like hurricane Maria, more assistance would certainly be forthcoming than to a territory such as Puerto Rico, so the Puerto Ricans, if they’re really serious about rebuilding, must do the lion’s share of the work themselves with much of the building material and extra labor by the charity of outsiders. And if the TV networks, now haranguing Trump for lack of compassion, really are as concerned about the plight of Puerto Rico as they were about Texas and Hawaii, then where are all the telethons to raise money for Puerto Rico?
