Almost fifteen years ago, the ruins of an ancient city with a temple (columns discovered), houses, and a necropolis were discovered beneath the desert sands of Western Sahara near the village of Argilhas, which because of engravings of ice age animals at the site are said to be 15,000 years old, ridiculous of course, because the Ice Age ended actually circa 1500 b. c., so it would be interesting to know whether the ancient city had been named Arghilas, perhaps the Berbers there can say.
