The Satyrs of greek mythology were anthropomorphic representations of the Thracian mountain men of the Pangaion Hills, up to five thousand feet above the nearby north coast of the Aegean where the Satrae tribe mined silver and gold, worshipped the wine god Bacchus (ba Kush, Nimrod?), and were known for their rapacious nature, boozy warriors backed by gold.
