Erudite skeptics make mincemeat of poorly-rooted Christians who are trying to present the Word as fact, poorly-rooted Christians who can’t defend the veracity of Genesis and thereby are without the foundation needed to make sense of the rest of the Word, such that if you’re an old earth creationist trying to lead one to be saved by Jesus Christ, all the skeptic has to say is “if Noah’s Flood was not a global catastrophe as you say, then many more than just eight people would have survived it, and therefore the Table of Nations (Genesis 10) must be nonsense.”
