Because it’s hard to imagine Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden beating Trump for president in 2020, and because Trump’s policies of slashing onerous regulations (which strangle businesses), encouraging coal energy production, establishing school choice for low income families, and securing the borders while making sanctuary cities illegal, probably the only Democrat who could stand a change against Trump would be Joe Manchin (who is anathema to most progressives).
